I have put up this Healthy Living to a Fruitful Life blog site to advocate “healthy living” and “wellness,” which I believe is all about the totality of a human being. It involves not only the physical body but also the spiritual and the financial condition of a person. All these factors, I believe, are important in having a fruitful life.

I can say life has been “fruitful” if we can keep a healthy balance of those three disciplines in life: a strong faith, a healthy body and a good source of income.

Life on earth is not even close to being perfect but as long as you can function according to your God-given purpose, you are able to help other people; you inspire at least those who are around you, I believe you are off to a good start. Allow me to explain further:

I wish above all things (1) that you may prosper and (2) be in health even as your (3) soul prospers.” -III John 2 (KJV2000)

Here, the Bible acknowledges three vital necessities for human existence: money (1) that you may prosper, healthy body (2) be in health and a right relationship with God (3) soul prospers.

We have to face the fact that nothing on earth is free. There’s a price for every product that we consume, every service that we employ, every dress that we wear; the gasoline we use for our car, and the tuition fees of our kids etc. We need money for all these needs and wants and God knows that so He supplies us with our every need.

However, money does not fall from heaven like rain from the clouds. We need to work to obtain it. Theologically, that is the result of the fall of Adam. In Genesis 3:19, God said, “By the sweat of your brow you will eat your food until you return to the ground, since from it you were taken; for dust you are and to dust you will return." Even Apostle Paul has set an example for the believers. He has written, “For you yourselves know how you ought to follow our example. We were not idle when we were with you, nor did we eat anyone's food without paying for it. On the contrary, we worked night and day, laboring and toiling so that we would not be a burden to any of you. For even when we were with you, we gave you this rule: "If a man will not work, he shall not eat" 2 Thessalonians 3:7-10.

It is our responsibility to earn money not only for our personal need but also to help other people and help spread the Gospel of Christ. Although God blesses humanity with prosperity, each individual has a task to work for it.

Healthy Body

In order for us to get a decent job or manage our own business, we need to be fit for work. It is important that we try to keep our minds and bodies healthy. While we can depend on God to protect us all the time, we still need to keep ourselves from food stuffs or vices that can destroy the body. Healthy living means eating the right food, having a good rest and keeping the body in tip-top shape.

Right Relationship with God

Above all, having a right relationship with God is the purpose of life. Everything on earth is meaningless unless we know God in a personal way. Money cannot guarantee a good future. Investments may fall and health may fail but God is a sure help in time of trouble. If we have the right relationship with God, we can have a strong faith that no amount of trouble can break.

These are three important aspects of life here on earth. If we know how to take care of each important aspect, we can say that indeed, we have a healthy life. Life here on earth will be more fulfilling and satisfying.

On this site, I will try to provide adequate information about how we can keep our bodies and well-being healthy. At the same time, offer information regarding income generating opportunities without forgetting God, the source of our sustenance.
